Gettysburg, PA- The Washington College Women's Soccer team faced Gettysburg in their final regular season contest of the year. The Bullets scored in the first half and the Shorewomen could not get the equalizer as they move to 10-6-2 on the year.
The Shorewomen however got the result they needed an hour after their game concluded from Ursinus to secure a spot in the 2025 Centennial Conference Tournament as #21 Johns Hopkins downed Ursinus 2-0. The Shorewomen, the tournament's sixth seed, will visit third-seed Dickinson on Tuesday with the time to be announced on Monday.

How It Happened
- Vanessa Shay had the first shot of the game for the Shorewomen. Her shot came 58 seconds into the first half and was just left of the goal after the Shorewomen earned a corner kick.
- The Bullets went up 1-0 over the Shorewomen 33 minutes into the first half.
- Shay again had a shot at the goal, this time her attempt was saved by the Bullets goalie in the 41st minute of play.
- Lily Barnum had the last look at the goal of the half for the Shorewomen. Her shot with less than two minutes left ended up just inches above the goal. The Shorewomen trailed at the end of the first 45, 1-0.
- Kaileigh Brady had the first shot attempt for the Shorewomen 14 minutes into the second half. Her attempt was saved again by the Bullets goalie.
- The Shorewomen made an attempt to tie the score as Maddy Gaydon brought the ball to the corner on the right side of the field. She crossed the ball into Shay who one touched the ball. Her touch pushed the ball just left of the goal. The Shorewomen had three minutes left to play.
- At the end of 90 minutes, the Shorewomen could not get the equalizer and fell 1-0 to the Bullets.
