CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Swarthmore topped host Washington College, 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-21), on Saturday afternoon at Penny J. Fall Gymnasium in a Centennial Conference volleyball match on Senior Day. The Garnet is now 17-8 overall and 7-1 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen are now 18-9 and 4-5 respectively.    Â

How It Happened
- Tied at 21-21 in the first set, the Garnet won four of the final six points to grab the two-point win with a kill ending the opening stanza.
- In the second set, the two teams were level at 22-22 before Swarthmore took the final three points to take the set. A service ace by the road team was the final point.
- Trailing 17-9 in the third set, the Shorewomen went on an 11-4 run to trim the lead to 21-20 on a service ace by Washington's
Lyndsey Wessel. Swarthmore would respond though by winning four of the next five points to win the set and match. An assisted block by Swarthmore was the final point of the match.
