Chestertown, MD– The Washington College Men's Basketball Team hosted the Patriots of Valley Forge. The Shoremen battled till the end and were able to secure the win in the last possible second of the game. They were led by Jon Nalty who scored ten of his 16 points in the first half.

How It Happened
- The Shoremen jumped out to a 5-0 lead thanks to a layup and three pointer by Ty Woodland. The Patriots took the lead, 6-5, within the first four minutes.
- The scoring was back and forth with neither team holding more than a three-point lead at any time. The Shoremen scoring was led by Jon Nalty with 10 points. The Shoremen held a one-point lead, 30-29 heading into the half.
- Nalty opened up the scoring in the second with two made free throws after he was fouled going up for a layup.
- Woodland sunk one of two free throws to give the Shoremen their largest lead of the half, 50-47.
- A free throw put Valley Forge within two, 52-50 with 6:58 left to play. Ryan Lang answered with a three from Nolan Waldon to put the Shoremen up five, 55-50. It was a battle down the stretch with the Patriots coming within one, 62-61 with 1:02 remaining.
- Woodland sunk a jumper to give the Shoremen a small lead ahead. Two free throws by the Patriots put the score back within one, 64-63. With eight seconds left, Nalty scored his 16th point and put the Shoremen ahead by three.
- A free throw by Valley Forge and then two by Waldon put the score at 68-64 still in favor of the Shoremen. Valley Forge had the ball underneath the Shoremen's basket, rolled the ball in and sunk one last three-pointer to move the score to 68-67. Time expired just as the ball went through the net and the Shoremen were able to sneak out with the win.
