READING, Pa. – Visiting Washington College had five players score in double figures and used a 36-25 second half to pull away from host Penn State Berks in a 79-65 win on Monday evening in a non-conference men's basketball game at Beaver Athletics and Wellness Center. The Shoremen are 6-0 on the season, while the Nittany Lions fall to 1-7.

How It Happened
- The Shoremen led 19-11 with 11:12 to go in the first half following a
Nolan Waldon free throw.
- Penn State Berks would respond with a 15-2 run to grab a 26-21 advantage with 7:46 left on a three-pointer.
- Washington countered with a 15-6 answer to lead 36-32 following a
Ryan Lang triple with 4:17 left and took a 43-40 lead into halftime.
- In the second half, the Shoremen scored the first eight points to take a 51-40 lead with 16:51 left on a
Davis Bland lay-in.
- After the Nittany Lions got it to within eight at 67-61 with 6:25 to go, the Shoremen scored the next eight points to push the lead back to 14, 75-61, with 3:56 remaining on a
Jon Nalty three.
