Salisbury, MD- The Washington College Women's Basketball Team fell to the Sea Gulls of Salisbury during their season opener, 68-48. The Shorewomen were led by Kaitlyn Boggs with 11 points followed by Emma Robinson and Abby Meredith with nine each.

How It Happened
- The first bucket for the Shorewomen came almost three minutes into the first period, Kaitlyn Boggs' layup from Emma Robinson put the Shorewomen down two, 4-2.
- Two free throws from Abby Meredith tied the score, 4-4. The Shorewomen scored five more times in the first period, but still trailed Salisbury, 17-9.
- Peyton Berger made two free throws early in the second period. She sunk both to move the Shorewomen within nine, 19-11. The score was 28-12 as Robinson grabbed a defensive rebound and pushed up the right side of the court. She found Ellie Carter-Soriano who drove and sunk a floater parallel to the basket.
- With 1:32 left to play in the half, Taylor Shane ripped and drove to the left side finishing her layup with her right hand to avoid the block. The bucket put the Shorewomen within 16, 32-16.
- The Shorewomen scored 18 points to the Seas Gulls' 15 in the third period. The Shorewomen were led by Meredith with five points and Boggs with four. The Shorewomen headed into the final ten minutes down, 53-34.
- Giulia Angeretti opened up the scoring for the Shorewomen in the fourth quarter. Her, Robinson, and Shane combined for six points to bring the Shorewomen within 13 in the first two minutes of the quarter, 40-53.
- The Shorewomen only scored eight more points, and Salisbury was able to score 15 as they took the game, 68-48.
