How It Happened
- The Shoremen went down 4-0 early in the first half. A Ryan Lang three pointer in the 11th minute of play put the Shoremen within two, 22-20. Thirty seconds later Jaedon Harris made a layup to tie the score at 22. The Shoremen took the lead, 24-22 as Max Portnoy sunk a jump shot to put the Shoremen ahead by two.
- With five minutes remaining, Notre Dame of Maryland took back the lead and ended the half up, 41-37.
- With 16:50 left to play, Portnoy stole the ball and went coast to coast making a layup on the other end of the court. Immediately after, Portnoy secured the defensive rebound and passed it up to Jon Nalty who sunk a three to put the Shoremen within one, 49-48.
- The Gators began to pull away as they went up 73-64 over the Shoremen with 6:37 left to play. The Shoremen did not go down without a fight, a Nalty three from Portnoy put the Shoremen within two, 77-75 with 3:12 remaining.
- Missed layups and turnovers plagued the Shoremen in the final minutes, they could not catch the Gators and fell for the first time this season, 91-83.
