CHESTERTOWN Md. – The Washington College Women's Lacrosse Team defeated Montclair State 19-11, in a non-conference women's lacrosse matchup. The Shorewomen scored seven of the game's first eight goals on their way to victory.

How It Happened
  • Mia Salvatierra scored off a pass from Piper Evans in the first 27 seconds of the contest to put the Shorewomen ahead early, 1-0. 
  • Montclair evened the score 33 seconds later with a game tying goal to tie the contest at 1-1 after one minute of action. 
  • The Shorewomen scored five unanswered goals to end the first quarter, taking a 6-1 lead into the second quarter. 
  • Anna Wilson scored the first goal of the second quarter with an up goal just 32 seconds into the period. 
  • The visitors scored back to back goals, before Salvatierra scored again with 9:24 left in the half. Montclair scored the next two goals, their last of the half. Washington led 8-5
  • To end the half, Elisabeth Braswell and Anna Wilson scored to put the Shorewomen back on top 10-5 at the intermission. 
  • At the start of the third quarter, Salvatierra scored an unassisted goal, before Tobin Chambers scored again to put the Shorewomen ahead 12-5 with 12:43 left in the third. 
  • The Shorewomen scored the final two goals of the third quarter, extending their lead to 18-7 after three quarters. 
  • Montclair scored the first four goals in the fourth quarter, before Salvatierra scored the final goal with 54 seconds remaining. The Shorewomen took the game, 19-11.

Scoring: Mia Salvatierra (career-best 7 goals, 2 assists and personal-best 9 points), Anna Wilson (4 goals), Elizabeth Braswell (3 goals, 1 assist). 
Goalkeeping: McKenna Seashole (60:00, 18 saves, 11 goals allowed)
Chambers became the 37th player in team history to reach the 100-point mark as she got it on a goal with 2:01 left in the first quarter.
