#25 Cardinals Too Much For Shorewomen, 22-12

Salvatierra Ties Career-Best with Game-High Eight Points

CLEARWATER, Fla. – #25 St. John Fisher never trailed on its way to a 22-12 win over Washington College on Sunday in a non-conference women's lacrosse game played at Philip Jones Stadium. The Cardinals improve to 4-0 on the season, while the Shorewomen fall to 1-5.

How It Happened
- The Cardinals scored the opening two goals to lead 2-0 just 1:37 into the game before Tobin Chambers got the Shorewomen on the board on a free position 80 seconds later.
- St. John Fisher would tally the next five to push the lead to 7-1 with 4:55 to go in the opening quarter.
- After Elisabeth Braswell stopped the run on a down goal with 3:21 left, the Cardinals scored three of the final four of the stanza to lead 10-3 after one.
- In the second, the Cardinals scored the final three goals to take a 15-5 lead into halftime.
- St. John Fisher edged Washington 4-3 in the third to take a 19-8 advantage into the fourth.
- The Shorewomen nipped the Cardinals 4-3 in the fourth to provide the final margin.

For The Shorewomen (1-5)
- Scoring: Mia Salvatierra (game-highs of five goals, three assists and eight points; career-best in assists and ties personal-high in points), Chambers (three goals)
- In Goal: McKenna Seashole (32:20, four saves, 15 goals), Maddy Kissinger (27:40, two saves, seven goals)
- MaryCate Anson (team-highs of four draw controls and three ground balls)
- WC went 12-for-13 in clears, went 9-for-14 in free position shots and picked up seven ground balls.
- The Shorewomen totaled 21 shots and won 15 draw controls.

Notes
- Washington was playing its third straight game today versus a ranked opponent today as it played #5 Salisbury on March 1 and #16 York (Pa.) on March 5.
