LANCASTER, Pa. – Host #51 Franklin & Marshall bested visiting Washington College, 7-0, on Tuesday afternoon inside Schnader Field House in Centennial Conference women's tennis action.

Doubles
- The Diplomats won two of three in doubles to grab the doubles' point take a 1-0 lead heading into singles. Second doubles was the first to come to a close and it was a 6-3 win for F&M over Washington's
Carrie Lord and
Sofia Sperandei. The Diplomats secured the victory in doubles at No. 3 with a 6-4 result over the Shorewomen's
Isabella Sorhegui and
Jayda Browne. No. 1 doubles went to a tiebreaker with Washington's
Eva Kading and
Soleil Namunyola winning the final two points to grab a 7-6 (7-5) victory.
Singles
- Third singles ended first with the Diplomats taking a 6-2, 6-0 win over Sorhegui.
- The home side won at No. 2 singles in the next match to draw to a close, 6-1, 6-3 against Kading.
- At No. 1, the Diplomats grabbed the opening set 6-2 versus Namunyola before the Namunyola rallied to take the second set 7-6 (7-5) to force a third and decisive set. F&M would win the third set 1-0 (10-8) to capture the top flight and clinch the match.
- Fourth singles was the next match to finish and the hosts registered a 6-2, 6-4 result on Browne.
- Six singles, which was the last match to start and second the last to conclude was a pro set and the Diplomats downed
Gaby Coutts, 8-0.
- In the final match to finish, fifth singles, F&M overcame a 6-1 loss Sperandei in the first set to win the next two sets by scores of 6-4, 1-0 (10-7).
Notes
- The Diplomats, ranked 51st nationally, are 8-5 overall and 3-2 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen are 6-7 and 3-2 respectively.
