How it Happened
- After trailing 6-0 early, Piper Evans scored the first goal for the Shorewomen with 3:55 remaining in the first quarter.
- The Shorewomen scored three straight goals to end the first half. Mac Grogan was the first of them, featuring an assist from Elisabeth Braswell, who then scored the next goal unassisted. Evans scored her second goal of the outing with 1:44 left in the first half to trim the deficit to 9-4.
- Mia Salvatierra scored the first goal of the second half off a free position with 9:08 left in the third, putting the Shorewomen as close as they would get down 9-5. Tobin Chambers scored the only other Shorewoman goal of the quarter with 1:18 remaining in the period. After three, the Shorewomen remained down 12-6.
- In the fourth, Salvatierra scored back-to-back goals to bring the score to 14-8. The Diplomats added the final three goals to secure a 17-8 victory.
