The coxswain and four rowers from the varsity four of the men's rowing team's share this week's Shoreman of the Week. The varsity four won the silver medal at the Dad Vail Regatta on Friday-Saturday in Pennsauken, N.J. on the Cooper River. The second place finish ties the program's best result at the regatta.
On Friday, the boat finished third in its time trial wth a time of 6:47.412, earning a spot in the semifinal round. In the semifinal later that day, the squad earned a spot in the final with a time of 6:48.426, good for second. On Saturday, the team finished second in the final in 6:39.861, just 2.066 seconds behind gold medalist Drexel. The school beat a pair of Division I programs and two Division II programs.

Eli Bisco-Werner (Bordentown, N.J./home school) as stroke, senior rower
Nick Gardner (Orlando, Fla./home school) in the three seat, freshman
Lawrence Haleski (Newark, Del./Liceo Naval Almirante Guise [Peru]) in the two seat and junior rower
Andrew Ellestad (Damascus, Md./Damascus) as bow.
Beene is now a six-time recipient of the weekly award, Ellestad and Gardner have garnered the recognition on five occasions and Bisco-Werner and Haleski received Shoremen of the Week honors for the fourth time.
