WILMINGTON, Del. - Six Washington College women's rowing student-athletes have been named 2025 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar-Athletes.
To be eligible to be a scholar-athlete, student-athletes must be at least in their second year of eligibility, earn a cumulative academic grade-point average of 3.50 or greater and row in 75% of the current spring races or in their conference championship and/or NCAA Championship. 2025 graduates Jordan Hyde (Mt. Airy, Md./Urbana) and Amy MacNair (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) join rising seniors Kyaran Balin-Brooks (Rockville, Md./Walter Johnson) and Maura Collins (St. Louis, Mo./Parkway West) and rising juniors Katherine McMenemy (Barre, Mass./Quabbin Regional) and Kelsey Sanderell (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) in being named a scholar-athlete. Â
Hyde, a Political Science major, and MacNair, a Neuroscience major, earned scholar-athlete status for the third consecutive year. Balin-Brooks, an International Studies and Anthropology major, Collins, an Environmental Science major, are scholar-athletes for the second straight time. First timers for the CRCA Scholar-Athlete were McMenemy, an International Relations major, and Sanderell, an Environmental Science and Physics major.  Â
