READING, Pa. – Visiting Washington College notched a 5-2 win at host Drew on Saturday afternoon at the Albright College Tennis Courts in non-conference women's tennis action. It was the fall opener for the Shorewomen.

Doubles
- The Shorewomen won all three doubles to grab the doubles point. Second doubles finished first with the team of
Samy Fawzi Sanchez and
Sofia Sperandei coasting to a 6-0 win at second doubles. The top flight finished next and it was WC's
Eva Kading and
Soleil Namunyola securing doubles with a 6-4 vcitory. The third team of
Gaby Coutts and
Jess Wilde won 7-6, winning 7-3 in the tiebreaker.
Singles

Isabella Sorhegui gave the Shorewomen a 2-0 lead with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 2.
- In first singles, Namunyola picked up the win, 6-1, 6-2, to make it 3-0 for the road team.

Jayda Browne clinched the win for Washington with a 6-4, 6-3 triumph at No. 5.
- Sperandei fell to the Lions, 6-7 (3-7), 6-4, 1-0 (10-4) at No. 3 singles for Albright's first win of the day.
- The Shorewomen notched a three-set win at six singles as Wilde prevailed, 3-6, 7-6 (7-5), 1-0 (11-9).
- The Lions took the final match in three sets at No. 4, 2-6, 6-3, 7-5, versus Kading.
Notes
- The Shorewomen are 1-0 on the season, while the Lions are 1-1.
