CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The Washington College volleyball team extended its winning streak to six consecutive matches with a sweep of both visiting Notre Dame (Md.) and Trinity (D.C.) in a home tri-match on Saturday afternoon at Penny J. Fall Gymnasium in non-conference volleyball action. In the first match of the day, the Shorewomen topped visiting Notre Dame (Md.), 3-0 (25-12, 26-24, 25-16) and in the last match of the day, the Shorewomen swept visiting Trinity (D.C.), 3-0 (25-7, 25-11, 25-7). The Shorewomen are now 6-4 on the season.  Â

How It Happened
- The Shorewomen led 14-9 in the opening set before rolling off five straight points to take a 19-9 lead on an
Izzy Diehl kill.
Gianna Folke capped the first set win with a kill.Â
- In the second set, the two teams were tied at 24-24 when Diehl netted a kill to make it 25-24. Folke would net her second set clinching kill in as many set to give WC a 2-0 lead.
- After losing the opening point of the third and final set, the Shorewomen totaled 10 straight points to lead 10-1 on a Diehl finisher. An attack error by the Gators ended the set and match.

How It Happened
- Washington raced out to a 13-3 lead on an attack error by Trinity. An attack miscue by the Tigers clinched the first set for the Shorewomen.
- Trinity led 7-4 in the second set before Washington asserted control with an 8-1 run to take a 12-8 lead on a Folke finisher. The Shorewomen capped the second set with a
Bethany Haughton kill as the home side won 13 of the last 15 points.
- Tied at 3-3 in the third and final set, the Shorewomen won 15 unanswered points to lead 18-3 following a bad set by the Tigers. Haughton tallied a finisher to complete the set and contest.
