LANCASTER, Pa. – Washington College has swept the Centennial Conference Player of the Week awards in women's soccer for the week of September 8-14. Junior forward
Sophie Kilbride (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) earned the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week and junior goalkeeper
Olivia Allen (West Pittston, Pa./Wyoming Area) was tabbed the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week. This is the third time Allen has won the Centennial's weekly award on defense, and it is first time that Kilbride has won the conference's weekly award on offense.
Kilbride scored two goals and added three assists for seven points, factoring in five of the nine goals in a 2-0-0 week for the Shorewomen. In a 7-0 victory over Hood, Kilbride tied the program mark for helpers in game with three. The junior had the three helpers in a span of just 4:27 of the second half as the Shorewomen turned a 2-0 lead into a 5-0 advantage. It marked the eighth three-assist performance in team history and the first since
Audrey Flanagan '24 did it on October 21, 2023, at Muhlenberg. In the 2-0 win at Rutgers-Camden on Wednesday, Kilbride scored both of the team's goals.
Allen did not permit a goal in 117:22 of action in a 2-0-0 week for the Shorewomen. In Wednesday's 2-0 win at Rutgers-Camden, the junior goalie stopped six shots, including four in the second half to preserve the clean sheet. In Saturday's 7-0 victory versus Hood, Allen posted 27:22 of scoreless action in goal.
Prior to today, the last Shorewoman to win CC Offensive Player of the Week honors was
Reagan Longridge '25 on October 26, 2021. The last Washington player to secure defensive player of the week from the conference was
Amity Harrington '24 last October 29. Allen has previously won the weekly award on September 10 and October 1 in 2024.
