Washington, DC – The Washington College Field Hockey team took down the Cardinals of Catholic University on the road, 2-0. MaryCate Anson scored her fifth goal of the season with Samantha McMahon scoring for the third time this season.

How it Happened
- The Shorewomen were aggressive on offense to start the game. In the first period, they outshot Catholic by four. All six of the Shorewomen's shots in the period were saved by the Catholic goalie.
- Two minutes into the second period, a penalty corner was entered by Emma Campbell. MaryCate Anson took a shot on goal which was saved before Ashley Swan had her first look on goal of the game. Her shot was blocked.
- In the 30th minute of play, the Shorewomen had three penalty corners, all taken by Kendal Thomson. On the third corner, Natalie Watkinson tried her hand at a goal, but her attempt was saved. Immediately after, Samantha McMahon took a shot past the goalie and put the Shorewomen on the board, 1-0.
- Two minutes and eighteen seconds into the second half, Anson scored off an assist from Emma Campbell. The Shorewomen were up, 2-0.
- The Shorewomen recorded four more shots during the second half and kept Catholic's attempts to two. Goalkeeper's Charlotte Schurman and Abby Coppolella teamed up for a total of four saves on the day to keep Catholic's goal total at 0. The Shorewomen won, 2-0.
