Chestertown, MD- The Washington College Women's Soccer team took down the Mustangs of Stevenson, 1-0. The Shorewomen took the lead early in the second half and never relinquished it. The game was then called due to weather.

How It Happened
- The Shorewomen had the first shot of the game not one minute into the first half. Maddy Gaydon took two shots in front of the goal from a pass from Gina Phillips. Gaydon's first shot was blocked and her second was just left of the goal.
- The third shot for the Shroewomen came five minutes into the game from Sophie Kilbride. Her shot was high over the center of the goal.
- The first shot on goal for the Shorewomen came with two minutes left in the first half. Heidi Tine played a ball through the center of the field to right wing Lily Barnum. Barnum took a shot for the right side post of the goal, but the Mustangs' goalie was there able to make the save.
- In the 59th minute of play, Barnum took a shot at the goal and had her shot blocked by a Stevenson defender, the ball rebounded out to Phillips who was able to control it and take another shot at the Stevenson goalie. Her shot went just past the left shoulder of the Stevenson goalie to put the Shorewomen up on the board, 1-0.
- With seven minutes left, Sophie Kilbride had a wide open look at the net, but her shot bounced out of the goal line off the right side post.
- With 6:12 left in the game, the game was suspended due to lightning in the area. The game never resumed and the Shorewomen took the game, 1-0.
