Chestertown, MD– The Washington College Men's Basketball team drops their first conference matchup, 95-87. A three pointer by Ursinus late in the second half tied the score and allowed the Bears to run away with it after trailing for the majority of the game.

How It Happened
- Back-to-back buckets by each team in the first thirty seconds started the first conference game for the Shoremen. Nolan Waldon secured a steal and passed up to Ty Woodland who sunk his first basket of the game. Three minutes later, Davis Bland sunk a three to put the Shoremen up 7-2 with 16:56 left to play.
- Two free throws put the Bears within two, 11-9, with 14:23 remaining. With 12:37 to play, Waldon completed an and one play to put the Shoremen ahead, 18-9. A little more than halfway through the first half, Ursinus caught up within seven of the Shoremen, 20-13.
- Another three by Bland off a pass from David Carr Jr. started an eight-point run for the Shoremen to put them up 30-15. The scoring was consistent on both ends of the court, but the Shoremen secured a large enough lead to head into the locker room up 12 at the half, 52-40. Woodland led the charge for the Shoremen with 15 points.
- The Bears scored the first two baskets out of the half. The Shoremen scored their first points in the second as Waldon put a three-pointer away off a Nalty pass. Ursinus came within five of the Shoremen with 15 left to play, 55-50.
- The Shoremen held a one-point lead with 9:08 remaining in the game. Max Portnoy sunk a layup to give the Shoremen a three-point lead, 73-70.
- A three by the Bears tied the score, 78-78 with 5:35 remaining in the game. A free throw and layup gave Ursinus a three-point lead. Similarly, a free throw and a pull-up jumper by Nalty tied the score once again for the Shoremen, 81-81.
- Ursinus took their final lead of the night with a made layup to move the score, 86-84 in their favor. The Shoremen could not get another bucket to go as they fell 95-87, scoring their last three points from the free throw line.
