LANCASTER, Pa. – Freshman forward
Dafny Vasquez (Easton, Md./Easton) has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for women's soccer for the week of October 19-25 by the conference office. This is the first Vasquez has won the conference's weekly award.
Vasquez factored into four of Washington's six goals in a 2-0 week for the Shorewomen. In Wednesday's 4-3 comeback win at Haverford, after falling down early 2-0, Vasquez scored in the 23rd and 49th minutes to even the match at 2-2 and assisted on a goal by
Annie Kotis in the 71st minute to put WC ahead 3-2. On Saturday in a 2-0 victory at Bryn Mawr, Vasquez netted the assist on the insurance goal by
Ashleigh Peace with 3:01 left that gave Washington a two-goal cushion.
Prior to today, the last time a Washington player won the conference's weekly award on offense was sophomore
Lily Barnum on October 14, 2025.
