VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Host Batten nipped visiting Washinton College, 4-3, in the final match of the fall portion of the schedule for Shoremen Tennis on Thursday afternoon at Everett Tennis Center.

Doubles
- The Shoremen won all three doubles matches to capture the doubles point. The top flight was the first match to finish and the duo of
Demir isiker and
Maxi Synnestvedt came away with a 6-3 win. Third doubles was the next to finish and the Shoremen's tandem of
Aksel Tinnes-Rimehaug and
Oscar Lundsfryd captured the point for the visitors in a 7-5 result. In the final match to finish, WC's pair of
Petter Storberg and
Oskar Wroblewski outlasted the Batten two of 7-6 (7-4).
Singles
- Third singles was the first to finish as the Marlins got a 6-0, 6-1 win versus Synnestvedt.
- Fourth singles was the next singles match to conclude and a 6-2, 6-0 result for Batten against Isiker.
- Wroblewski won at six singles for the Shoremen, 6-2, 6-3, to tie the match at 2-2.
- Storberg at second singles gave Washington a 3-2 lead, netting a 6-4, 6-3 result over Batten.
- No. 1 singles was the second to final match to end and the Marlins took it 6-2, 7-5 against Lundsfryd.
- The match came down to Fifth singles and the home side won, 6-1, 6-3, to give the Marlins the win.

- Washington is now 0-2 on the season and Batten is 2-0.
