Clermont, FL– Washington College Softball splits in last day of Spring Break contests. The Shorewomen defense kept Ohio Wesleyan at arms length for a 3-2 game one win.

How It Happened
- The score was tied, 1-1, heading into the bottom of the third inning. Grace Allen singled to shallow left field and stole second to put her in scoring position. Cece Johnston singled down the right field line to send Allen home and put the Shorewomen on top, 2-1. Lilly Wenzel singled to left field to send Johnston home and extend the Shorewomen lead to two, 3-1.
- Ohio Wesleyan scored a second run in the top of the fourth inning to move the score, 3-2.
- The Shorewomen defense stood strong allowing zero runs on two hits to take the game in the top of the seventh, 3-2.

How It Happened
- Saint Joseph's of Maine scored eight runs in the bottom of the second inning to fo up 8-0 over the Shorewomen.
- The first hit for the Shorewomen came in the top of the fifth inning as Emma Trainer singled to centerfield. Jenna Harper singled to left center field which advanced Julia Weglarz to third as she sat on base thanks to a fielder's choice. Mia Filliben hit towards the shortstop causing an erorr and sending the sole run in for the Shorewomen. They dropped game two, 10-1.
