Chestertown, MD – The Washington College women's lacrosse team holds off St. Mary's College of Maryland, 15-13. Piper Evans scored six goals to lead the Shorewomen to the two point victory.

How it Happened
- The Shorewomen scored the first two goals of the game. Piper Evans and Malery Andrews scored within 18 seconds of each other to put themselves up 2-0.
- St. Mary's took the lead with 4:09 to play in the first as they scored three unanswered to go up, 3-2.
- Evans tied the game, 3-3 with 3:30 left in the period off an assist from Mac Grogan. St. Mary's ended the first 15 minutes up one, 4-3.
- Anna Wilson scored off an assist from Malery Andrews to tie the game once again. The Shorewomen scored the next three goals to put them ahead 7-4. They would end the half up, 9-7.
- The Shorewomen scored first out of halftime. Evans scored her fourth goal of the game after Wilson secured the ground ball to keep Shorewomen possession.
- Washington College led the Seahawks by four, 13-9 at the end of the third quarter. Grogan and Evans scored back-to-back man-up goals to add to the Shorewomen lead.
- St. Mary's scored the first goal of the final period 56 seconds in. Evans put the Shorewomen lead back at four, 14-10, with a free position goal with 8:49 left to play.
- The Seahawks came within two of the Shorewomen with just under six minutes to go in the game, 14-12. St. Mary's put themselves within one of the Shorewomen with a little over three minutes to play.
- Grogan put the Shorewomwn back ahead, 15-13, as she scored on the right side of the goal off an assist from Mia Salvatierra.
- The Shorewomen defense held out with Maddy Kissinger recording a save in the final twenty seconds to keep the Shorewomen lead, 15-13.
