Lions Take Care of Shorewomen, 7-0

EWING, N.J. – Host TCNJ topped visiting Washington College, 7-0, on Wednesday afternoon at the TCNJ Tennis Complex in a non-conference women's tennis match.

Doubles
- The Lions took all three doubles matches to land the doubles point. Second doubles was finished first and it was a 6-1 win for TCNJ over WC's Juanita Arbelaez and Sofia Sperandei. The top flight ended next and it was 6-1 results for the home side versus the tandem of Soleil Namunyola and Eva Kading. Third singles was the final match to reach the end and the Lions captured it by a 6-2 score versus the Shorewomen's pair of Isabella Sorhegui and Gaby Coutts.

Singles
- Second singles was the first match to end and it was a 6-2, 6-1 victory for TCNJ against Namunyola.
- The second match to finish in singles was at No. 6 as the Lions got the better of Samy Fawzi Sanchez, 6-2, 6-3.
- TCNJ got the win at No. 4 singles against Sorhegui in a pair of 6-4 scores.
- Wilde took the first set at No. 5, 6-3, before dropping the next two sets to the Lions' fifth by scores of 7-5 and 1-0 (10-6).
- Kading took the Lions' third singles player to the limit, but TCNJ got the result, 6-1, 4-6, 6-4.
- In the last match to finish, TCNJ won at the top flight over Arbelaez, 5-7, 6-2, 7-5.

Notes
- The Shorewomen drop to 5-4 on the season, while the Lions are 9-0.
