CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Dickinson edged host Washington College, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon at Schottland Tennis Center in a Centennial Conference Women's Tennis match that was the conference opener for both squads.

Doubles
- The Red Devils got the doubles point by winning two of the three doubles matches. Second doubles finished first as Dickinson won 6-0 versus Washington's duo of
Juanita Arbelaez and
Jess Wilde. No. 3 was next to finish and it was WC's
Isabella Sorhegui and
Gaby Coutts coming away with a 6-3 victory and the doubles point would come down to the top flight. In the top flight, the Red Devils edged the Shorewomen's pair of
Eva Kading and
Soleil Namunyola by a 7-5 count.
Singles
- First singles was the first to finish and it was a 6-2, 6-1 win for Dickinson versus Arbelaez.
- Sperandei got the Shorewomen's first triumph of the afternoon in a 6-4, 6-2 decision at the fifth spot.
- Sorhegui evened the match for the Shorewomen at 2-2 with a 6-2, 6-4 result at third singles.
- Sixth singles went the way of Dickinson by a pair of 6-4 scores against Wilde to give the road team a 3-2 lead.
- Namunyola tied the match a 3-3 with a 7-6 (7-3), 7-5 win at No. 2 and the match would come down to fourth singles.
- No. 4 singles went the way of Dickinson as it took the match with scores of 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) versus Kading.
Notes
- The Shorewomen are now 5-5 overall and 0-1 in the Centennial, while the Red Devils are 8-4 and 1-0 respectively.
