LANCASTER, Pa. – Host #20 Franklin & Marshall jumped out to a 5-2 lead after one quarter on its way to a 17-8 win over visiting Washington College on Saturday afternoon on Tom Gilburg Field at Shadek Stadium in Centennial Conference women's lacrosse action. The Diplomats improve to 6-8 on the season and 5-1 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen are now 10-4 and 4-2 respectively.
Despite the loss, the Shorewomen still locked up a spot in the 2026 Centennial Conference Tournament and will be competing in their 13th conference tournament in the past 14 and 16th overall.

How It Happened
- The homestanding Diplomats jumped out to a 5-1 lead with 3:06 to go in the first quarter and took a 5-2 advantage into the second.Â
- Trailing 7-2 with 11:08 left before halftime, the Shorewomen got four of the last six goals of the second to trim the lead to 9-6 at halftime with
Anna Wilson scoring from
Mia Salvatierra on an up goal with 38 seconds to go before intermission.
- Franklin & Marshall scored all four times in the third to lead 13-6 after three.
- In the fourth, F&M held a 4-2 edge on WC to provide the final margin. In the fourth, Salvatierra tallied her 261st career point on a goal by
Emma Zajdel 1:48 into the stanza to move into third place in team history in points, passing
Maggy Kilroy '00 who had 260 from 1997-2000. Salvatierra is one point behind
Janet Studdiford '04 for second on the all-time list. Studdiford had 262 points from 2001-04.

- Salvatierra also moved into fifth place all-time in goals at Washington and now has 159. She passed Katherine Vincent '17 (157) on the team's second goal of the game with 2:12 to go in the first quarter.
