Baltimore, MD- Washington College Baseball falls to #9 Johns Hopkins in seven innings. The Shoremen put up ten hits against the Blue Jays, but only batted half in for a final score of 16-5.

How It Happened
- Hopkins held a five-run lead heading into the top of the fourth inning.
- Brady Wozniak doubled to right center as the second batter in the top of the fourth. Ty Everitt followed with a single to center field. Wozniak was batted in by Ty Powell who hit into a fielder's choice. The Shoremen left the half inning still down, 5-1.
- The Blue Jays scored seven runs in the bottom of the fourth to go up, 12-1.
- Chase Ruppel singled up the middle in the top of the fifth with two outs. Reese Hirsh was the next batter up and sent both Ruppel and himself home with a home run to left field. The Shoremen were down nine, 12-3.
- Hopkins extended their lead to ten in the bottom of the same inning.
- Powell was walked to put himself on first in the top of the sixth. Pete Kokinis singled through the right side to advance Powell and put two on for the Shoremen. Drew Kinsey singled as the next batter up and advanced both runners. Powell was able to score on an error by the shortstop. The next at bat, Brett Connolly doubled down the right field line to send Kokinis home and the Shoremen were down eight, 13-5.
- Those would be the last runs the Shoremen scored as Hopkins batted in three runs in the bottom of the sixth and recorded a quick three outs in the top of the seventh to retire the game after seven innings, 16-5.
