COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Visiting #59 Washington College clinched a spot in the 2026 Centennial Conference Women's Tennis Tournament with a 7-0 triumph over host Ursinus on Tuesday afternoon in Centennial Conference women's tennis action at Ace Bailey Tennis Courts.    Â
The Shorewomen will be competing in their 16th Centennial Tournament since the tournament commenced in 2006 and the five in a row is the longest consecutive streak for the team reaching the conference tournament. Next week's Centennial Tournament will be the 19th as there was no tournament in 2020 or 2021 due to COVID.

Doubles
- Washington took two of three in doubles to capture the doubles point.
Gaby Coutts and
Isabella Sorhegui finished first on their way to a 6-1 result at third doubles in the first match to finish. The Shorewomen's tandem of
Eva Kading and
Soleil Namunyola got the road side the doubles point with a 6-3 win at the top flight. Ursinus took the final doubles match to conclude in a 6-4 score versus
Juanita Arbelaez and
Carrie Lord.
Singles
- Sorhegui gave the Shorewomen a 2-0 advantage with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph at third singles.
- Arbelaez netted a 6-2, 6-0 win at the top spot to put the Shorewomen one win away from victory.

Jess Wilde put the match in the win column for Washington by prevailing, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6.
- Namunyola recorded a pair of 6-4 wins at second singles.
- Sperandei notched winning scores of 7-5, 6-2 at the four spot.
- Coutts would complete the sweep in singles for the Shorewomen with a 7-5, 7-6 (9-7) result at No. 5.
Notes
- The Shorewomen are 10-8 on the season, while the Bears are 8-10. WC is 4-3 in the conference, while Ursinus is 1-6 in the Centennial.
- Ursinus'
Morgan Coupe is the twin sister of
Mackenzie Coupe, a member of the women's soccer team at Washington College. Coupe played second doubles and third singles.
