CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting #41 Haverford came away with a 5-2 win against host Washington College on Tuesday afternoon at the Schottland Tennis Center in Centennial Conference women's tennis action.

Doubles
- The Fords took two of three doubles to win the doubles point. Second doubles finished first and the Fords came away with a 6-2 win over the Shorewomen's
Juanita Arbelaez and
Gaby Coutts. Washington would even doubles at a win apiece as
Isabella Sorhegui and
Sofia Sperandei topped Haverford's second pairing, 6-2. The doubles point would come down to the top flight and the Fords jumped out to a 4-1 lead and held on for a 6-4 win over
Soleil Namunyola and
Eva Kading to give the doubles point to the visitors.
Singles
- Haverford won at second singles, 6-3, 6-0 against Namunyola in the first match to conclude.
- The Fords pushed their lead to 3-0 in a 6-1, 6-2 decision versus Sorhegui.
- Fifth singles was the clincher for Haverford in a 6-1, 6-3 result over Sperandei.
- The road side came away with a 6-3, 7-5 score at No. 6 against
Samy Fawzi Sanchez.
- Kading picked up Washington's first win of the match 7-6, 1-6, 1-0 (10-5) three-set victory.
- Arbelaez rallied for a three-set win for the Shorewomen against the Fords'
Aarti Prochnow, ranked 47th nationally, 3-6, 7-6 (7-5), 1-0 (12-10).
Notes
- The Shorewomen are 7-6 on the season, while the Fords, ranked 41st nationally and ninth in the Atlantic South Region are 6-6 on the season. WC is 1-2 in the conference, while Haverford is 3-1 in the Centennial.
