How it Happened
- Washington College and York exchanged chances early in the first half, with O'Donnell recording two shots, including one saved by the Spartans goalkeeper in the seventh minute. WC Goalkeeper
Calvin Field made several saves for the Shoremen, including stops on shots by York in the eighth, 13th, 19th and 21st minutes.
- The Shoremen broke through in the 43rd minute as freshman Horan scored from the right side off an assist from O'Donnell to give Washington College a 1-0 lead with 2:25 before halftime.
- Field made another save with just over a minute remaining in the half as the Shoremen took their 1-0 advantage into halftime.
- Washington College continued to hold its 1-0 advantage early in the second half as
Jordan Waiganjo and
Kaua de Oliveira each recorded chances.
