CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Junior setter
Alexis Stubbs (Marietta, Ga./Mount Paran Christian School) became the ninth player in program history to reach 1,000 career assists, achieving in the fourth and final set, as host Washington College bested visiting Immaculata, 3-1 (25-13, 23-25, 25-18, 25-15) at Penny J. Fall Gymnasium in a non-conference volleyball match on Saturday afternoon. The Shorewomen are now 8-3 on the season, while the Mighty Macs are 2-12.

How It Happened
- The Shorewomen led 3-2 in the first set before rolling off 19 of the next 25 points to lead 22-8 on a kill by
Izzy Diehl.
Emma Shaner capped the opening set with a kill.
- In the second set, Immaculata overcame an early 8-3 deficit with 10 of the next 15 points to lead 13-11. Tied at 13-13, the Mighty Macs won five of the next six points to lead 18-14 on a kill. Tied at 22-22, the guests won three of the last four points to take second with a finisher evening the match at 1-1.
- WC built a 22-8 advantage in the third set on a Stubbs service ace before Immaculata rallied to trim the deficit to 23-18 on an ace. The Shorewomen would win the last two points to take the set by seven with
Lyndsey Wessel recording an ace to cap the third.
- Stubbs would reach 1,000 career assists on a kill by Wessel to make the score 21-14. It was part of a 7-1 run to close out the match as an attack miscue by the guests ended the match. Stubbs added an assist following the milestone helper and finished today with 1,001.

Emily Hartnett (12 kills and 10 digs for first career double-double), Stubbs (30 assists and match-best six aces to tie for personal-best),

- Team hit .310 in the contest, totaled four blocks and notched 16 aces.

- Stubbs is the ninth player in team history to reach 1,000 all-time assists at WC. The most recent Shorewoman to achieve 1,000 career helpers was
Allison McKechnie '26 in the 2024 season.
