Shorewomen Score Pair in Second Half to Best Saints, 2-0

Vasquez and Kilbride Score for WC

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host Washington College scored a pair of goals in a span of 2:56 of the second half to come away with a 2-0 win over visiting Marymount on Saturday night on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium in a non-conference women's soccer game. The Shorewomen are now 2-1-0 on the season, while the Saints drop to 0-2-0.

How It Happened
- The Shorewomen had the only shot on goal in the first half at 9:58 by Sophie Kilbride, but it was saved.
- Washington would break onto the scored at the 54:56 mark in the second half when Grace Morris' pass found the foot of Dafny Vasquez and redirected it into the lower right of the goal.
- Kilbride would provide the insurance goal at 57:52 on a chip shot from the right side into the upper left portion of the goal from the right side for a two-goal lead.
- The Saints would have their best chance off of a corner kick in the 63rd minute, but Emma Armenti notched a team save by clearing the ball to preserve the shutout.
- Marymount's final shot came in the 78th minute, but it was  off target.
