Izzy Diehl (Driftwood, Texas/Dripping Springs) is this week's Shorewoman of the Week. Diehl set a career-best in kills and averaged over four kills a set in a 3-1 week for the Shorewomen.
Diehl hit .211 with 58 kills and averaged 4.14 kills per set, 1.14 digs per set and 0.43 blocks per set in the four matches. In the team's four-set win Albright on Thursday, Diehl totaled a career-high 21 kills, including seven in the fourth and final set to win the match, to go along with seven digs and three blocks as the senior hit .283. In the team's season opening win at Notre Dame (Md.) last Tuesday, Diehl led all players with 13 kills with a .250 hitting percentage. On Sunday at Penn State Hazleton, Diehl had a team-high nine kills and hit .208 in a three-set sweep, playing only the first two sets. Earlier on Sunday against Kent State at Tuscarawas at Penn State Hazleton, Diehl had a team-high 15 kills and added seven digs.
This is Diehl's first career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
