Aaron Barclay

Aaron Barclay was named an assistant coach in January 2020.  

Barclay, who played for the Shoremen from 2016-19 at third base, is the program’s all-time leader in games started with 145 and is tied for the most games played in team history at 148.  He also ranks third all-time in RBI (113), fourth in doubles (35), tied for fifth in total bases (224), tied for sixth in home runs (12) and runs (107) and seventh in hits (151).  In his senior season in 2019, he had his best season as he hit a career-high .349 with five home runs and a personal-best 38 RBI and 11 doubles as he was earned All-Centennial Conference first team honors.  He was also named All-Mid-Atlantic Region first team by ABCA/Rawlings and All-Mid-Atlantic Region second team by D3Baseball.com.  He was also named Team Co-MVP last spring.

In is four seasons with the team he .288 with 12 home runs, 113 RBI, 107 runs scored, 151 hits and 35 doubles.  In addition to being named all-conference in 2019, he was a second team selection in 2016 when he hit .327 with five home runs, 26 RBI and 10 doubles.

He was a two-sport athlete at Washington College as he was also a four-year member of the Shoremen Soccer team and helped them make the Centennial Conference Tournament in 2016.

Barclay will graduate this spring from Washington College with a Bachelor of Science in Physics.
