Shaine Carpenter

Shaine Carpenter was hired as assistant coach/recruiting coordinator for Washington College baseball in September of 2022. 

In his three seasons in the role with the team, he saw the team produce five All-Centennial Conference selections and one CC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. 

Carpenter previously served as the assistant coach/recruiting coordinator at the University of Bridgeport (Bridgeport, CT) for two seasons. He acted as the hitting coach and worked with the catchers and outfielders on the defensive side of the ball. Carpenter also played an integral role in the day-to-day operations such as practice planning and fundraising for the program. 

Prior to his time at Bridgeport, Carpenter was the assistant coach at Emmanuel College in Franklin Square, Ga. from August 2018 through January of 2021. He performed as the catching coach and was also the Junior Varsity Head Coach. 

Carpenter was a three-year varsity letterwinner at Saint Anselm College in the Northeast-10 Conference and played one season at Mercy College in the East Coast Conference. 

Carpenter earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Mercy College in 2018. He went on to earn a Master of Sports Administration (Coaching Theories and Strategies) from Petrocelli College (Fairleigh Dickinson University) in May 2020.
