BEFORE WC: Played three seasons of varsity baseball at Manheim Township ... captained team senior year ... was named All-League as a senior, hitting .350, and was winner of the Shawn Keller Scholarship Award ... finished high school career ranked 11th all-time in 70 seasons of team history in on-base percentage with an even.500 (minimum 100 career at bats).
