Mackenzie Peacock was named volunteer assistant field hockey coach of the Shorewomen in August 2023. Peacock, a native of Chestertown, Maryland, joins the staff following her three-year playing career at Salisbury University. She will work primarily with the Washington College goalies.
As a senior, Peacock was an All-Coast-To-Coast (C2C) first team selection and National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Region as she went 18-1 in goal in starting all 19 games. She tallied four shutouts, 42 saves, a .764 save percentage and a 0.74 goals against average. Serving as a team captain, she helped Salisbury reach the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Tournament.Â
She was also a member of a pair of C2C Championship teams (2021, 2022) and a Capital Athletic Conference title team in 2019 during her time with the Sea Gulls. Salisbury reached the Final Four in 2019 and the Round of 16 in 2021.
Peacock started at Towson University in 2018 and made 79 saves in 14 games, 13 starts, before transferring to Salisbury.
The Kent County High School alumna, Class of 2018, received her degree in Exercise Science from Salisbury in May 2023 and seeks to pursue a career in nursing.
