Maddie Taylor

Maddie Taylor was named assistant field hockey coach of the Shorewomen in spring 2021. Taylor, a native of nearby Worton, Maryland, joins the staff following her playing career at Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania.

In 52 career games Taylor had eight goals and four assists for 20 points for the River Hawks.  She was a part of the 2018 Susquehanna team that won the Landmark Conference and played in the NCAA Division III Tournament. As a senior, Taylor served as a team captain and started in all four exhibition games Susquehanna played in this spring. She was the River Hawks' representative on the Landmark Conference All-Sportsmanship Team as a sophomore, served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and also attended the Women in Sports Symposium during her time at Susquehanna.

In the classroom, Taylor earned a spot on the Dean's List all eight semesters, was a four-year member of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) National Academic Squad and landed on the Landmark Fall Academic Honor Roll three times. 

Taylor has coached at R-Time Hockey Youth Summer Field Hockey Camp the past three summers (2018-20) and the Kent County High School team in the Dover High School Hockey League each of the last two summers (2019-20).

The Kent County High School alumna received her degree in Strategic Communications: Advertising & Marketing from Susquehanna in May 2021.
