Tim Cloud

Washington College head men's lacrosse coach John Nostrant named Tim Cloud as assistant coach in the summer of 2021.

Cloud currently serves as the team’s offensive coordinator and director of operations. He has also served as defensive coordinator in previous seasons.

In the 2024 season, the Shoremen reached the Centennial Conference playoffs for the first time in nine years, upsetting #20 Gettysburg in the regular season to earn a spot. During his first two seasons on staff, the Shoremen doubled their win totals each year.

Cloud was a four-year starter at Queens University of Charlotte (2012-15) and helped the Royals reach numerous program milestones. During his time at Queens, the Royals reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history, won their first conference championship, and were ranked in the top 10. Cloud was a three-time all-conference long stick midfielder and graduated with school records in games started, minutes played and caused turnovers.

On the field, he scooped up 107 ground balls in his career, caused 55 turnovers, and tallied five goals with seven assists for twelve points in 61 career games.  After graduating from Queens, he spent the 2016 season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Royals where he worked with the faceoff and man-down units.

In 2020, Cloud was named assistant coach at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina. He spent one season with the Bobcats, which was cut short due to COVID. During his time at LMC, he led the defense, man-down, and faceoff units. He helped develop 3 All-Conference players during his tenure.

Most recently, Cloud worked for True Lacrosse as a State Program Director in Illinois. He was also the offensive coordinator for Mount Carmel High School during the 20-21 season. He helped lead Mount Carmel to a playoff run where they reached the sectional finals and were crowned conference champions. His offense averaged 14.2 goals per game and had 5 all-conference players.

Cloud is originally from Severna Park, Maryland, where he graduated from Severna Park High School in 2011. His father Tim Cloud Sr. graduated from Washington College in 1983 and was a First Team All-American for the Shoremen.
