Patrick joined Washington College as the Assistant Sailing Coach in the Fall of 2026.
Prior to joining Washington College, he competed as a collegiate sailor for the Arizona State University (ASU) sailing team, participating in 28 ICSA regattas. He primarily sailed FJs in fleet racing as both a skipper and crew.

During his time with ASU, Patrick helped the team improve its standing in the Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference (PCCSC), rising from 16th to 8th place. In 2024, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Sustainability and left the team to pursue a Master of Science in Sustainability, which he completed in the spring of 2026.

Throughout his summers in college and graduate school, Patrick returned to the Chesapeake Bay area to coach youth sailing in RS Zests at Annapolis Sailing School. While at ASU, he also volunteered with the Arizona Sailing Foundation, teaching learn-to-sail programs in Optimists.
