Box Score Ohrem Scores Three Goals in Loss
GLASSBORO, NJ -- Host Rowan University jumped out
to a 13-3 halftime lead en route to a 15-8 non-conference women's
lacrosse victory over visiting Washington College tonight in
Glassboro, NJ. The Profs improved to 2-1 with the win, while the
Shorewomen fell to 2-2 with the loss.
Rowan held a 22-5 advantage in shots in the first
half while jumping out to the big lead at the intermission and
maintained a 38-16 advantage in shots in the game. Lauren
Yee scored four goals in the game for the Profs, while
Tori Hart had one goal and four assist and
Trish Harrington netted three goals. Alli
Dickey added two goals, one assist, and seven draw
controls, while Alayna Morris and Ellen
Brigham scored two goals each. Caitlin
Ravel scored once for the Profs, while Nicole
Valianti had one assist.
Junior midfielder Sam Ohrem (Ridgefield,
CT/Ridgefield) scored three goals for the Shorewomen in
the loss, while freshman midfielder Mollie Shipley
(Denville, NJ/Morris Catholic) scored two goals. Freshman
attacker Britton Preroff (Baltimore, MD/Bryn
Mawr), senior midfielder Allie Hanzsche
(Catonsville, MD/Mount de Sales), and sophomore attacker
Liza Twilley (Salisbury, MD/Salisbury School)
added one goal each for Washington. Junior goalie Amber
Madore (Columbia, MD/Wilde Lake) made 16 saves between the
pipes for the Shorewomen.
The Shorewomen return to action Saturday with a
4:00 p.m. Centennial Conference home game against Swarthmore.
