Box Score Parrish Scores Twice in Loss
LANCASTER, PA -- Fourth-ranked host Franklin &
Marshall built a 9-3 halftime lead en route to a 19-5 Centennial
Conference women's lacrosse victory over visiting Washington
College this afternoon in Lancaster, PA. The Diplomats improved to
11-1 overall and 7-0 in conference play with the win, while the
Shorewomen fell to 6-6 and 2-5 with the loss.
The Diplomats scored two goals in the first minute
of play and held a 5-1 lead less than 14 minutes into the game.
Meredith Lussier scored seven goals and assisted
on another for F&M, while Blake Hargest had
three goals and three assists. Cat Serpe netted
three goals, while Sarah Veneski tallied two goals
and one assist and Lauren Ehrhardt had a goal and
two assists.
Sophomore attacker Kalli Parrish (Timonium,
MD/McDonogh School) led Washington with two goals, while
junior midfielder Sam Ohrem (Ridgefield,
CT/Ridgefield), junior midfielder Liz Cumberpatch
(Annapolis, MD/Annapolis), and junior attacker
Sarah Cannon (Baltimore, MD/Notre Dame Prep) each
scored one goal.
F&M held a 44-14 advantage in shots and an 18-8
advantage in draw controls in the game.
The Shorewomen return to action Tuesday with a 4:30
p.m. Centennial Conference game at Bryn Mawr.
