#7 Diplomats Hand Shorewomen First Loss, 16-5

Cannon Has Goal, Assist in Loss for Shorewomen

LANCASTER, PA -- Seventh-ranked host Franklin & Marshall jumped out to a 10-4 halftime lead en route to a 16-5 Centennial Conference women's lacrosse victory over visiting Washington College this afternoon in Lancaster, PA. The Diplomats improved to 7-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play while handing the Shorewomen (7-1, 1-1) their first loss of the season.

The Diplomats held a 32-14 advantage in shots and a 15-8 advantage in draw controls in the game. Lauren Ehrhardt led F&M with four goals and one assist, while Lauren Selawski and Cat Serpe each had three goals and two assists. Caroline Krohn added two goals and two assists for Franklin & Marshall. 

Senior attacker Sarah Cannon (Baltimore, MD/Notre Dame Prep) had one goal and one assist in the loss for Washington. Junior midfielder Rachel Bartee (Mount Airy, MD/South Carroll), junior attacker Kalli Parrish (Timonium, MD/McDonogh School), junior attacker Liza Twilley (Salisbury, MD/Salisbury School), and sophomore midfielder Olivia Hanley (Phoenix, MD/Dulaney) each scored one goal for Washington.

The Shorewomen return to action Wednesday with a 4:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Ursinus.
