#6 Bullets Too Much for Shorewomen in 20-4 Win

GETTYSBURG, PA -- Sixth-ranked host Gettysburg College raced out to a 13-1 halftime lead en route to a 20-4 Centennial Conference women's lacrosse victory over visiting Washington College this afternoon on Clark Field. The Bullets improved to 12-2 overall and 7-0 in conference play with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to 10-4 and 4-4 with the loss. 

Hannah Church led Gettysburg, which converted 20 of its 33 total shots and six of its eight free-position shots, with six goals and one assist. Marnie Commins added four goals and two assists, while Kelsey Markiewicz, Loren Pruitt, Bailey Beardsley, and Haley Stauch scored two goals each for the Bullets. Maddie Coleman had an impressive game between the pipes for Gettysburg, making 11 saves.

Sophomore midfielder Mollie Shipley (Denville, NJ/Morris Catholic), junior attacker Kalli Parrish (Timonium, MD/McDonogh School), sophomore midfielder Marissa Restaino (Media, PA/Penncrest), and junior midfielder/defender Ann Eickelberg (Amityville, NY/St. John the Baptist) scored one goal each for Washington in the loss. The Shorewomen got off 22 shots in the game.

The Shorewomen will close out their regular season Thursday with a 7:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Swarthmore.
