CHESTERTOWN, MD – Junior midfielder Rachel Bartee (Mount Airy, MD/South Carroll) scored five goals and assisted on another to lead host Washington College to a 16-13 Centennial Conference women's lacrosse victory over visiting Muhlenberg this afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium.  The Shorewomen equalled their win total from last season with the victory, improving to 8-2 overall and 2-2 in conference play. The Mules fell to 4-5 and 0-4 with the loss.

A free-position goal by sophomore midfielder Mollie Shipley (Denville, NJ/Morris Catholic) with 13:25 left in the first half gave the Shorewomen a 6-3 lead. Washington led by at least two goals the rest of the period and held a 9-6 advantage at halftime.

Muhlenberg scored three of the first four goals in the second half to trim the margin to 10-9 on a goal by Christina Van Hise with 24:19 left.  Washington answered with a 6-1 run to open up a 16-10 cushion on a goal by senior attacker Sarah Cannon (Baltimore, MD/Notre Dame Prep) off an assist from junior attacker Kalli Parrish (Timonium, MD/McDonogh School) with 2:24 on the clock.  Muhlenberg scored three times in the final 2:12 to provide the final margin.

Bartee's six points led the Shorewomen. Parrish scored three goals and added an assist, while freshman midfielder Carly Eisenbrandt (Baltimore, MD/Towson) had two goals and two assists and Cannon had two goals.

Danielle Rosen led all scorers with five goals and three assists for the Mules. Alex Bellini added four goals and one assist, Van Hise, Angela Napoletano, and Molly Davin each had one goal and one assist for Muhlenberg.
