Vincent posts four points in the loss

LANCASTER, Pa. — Fifth ranked Franklin & Marshall got a game high five goals from Grace Saliba en route to a 16-10 Centennial Conference win over Washington College at Tylus Field in Lancaster, Pennsylvania this afternoon. The Diplomats improved to 9-1 overall and 2-0 in the Centennial with the win, while the Shorewomen dropped to 5-4 and 0-1 in the Centennial with the loss.

How It Happened
- The Shorewomen got on the board first with 21:04 to play in the first half on a goal from freshman midfielder Cecily Docktor off an assist from freshman attack Virginia Parker. Junior defenseman Anna Inserra then scored a free position goal to give the Shorewomen a 2-0 lead with 17:40 to play in the half.
- F&M scored the next three goals, the first two coming from Saliba, and the third from Anastasia Mergner, to take a 3-2 lead with 12:42 to play in the half.
- Senior attack Carley Kendall tied the game for the Shorewomen at 3-3 with an unassisted goal with 8:29 to play until halftime.
- The Diplomats would then score the next nine goals to take a commanding 12-3 lead with 20:35 to play in the game.
- The Shorewomen would go on a 3-0 run to close the gap to 12-6. Inserra scored her second free position goal of the day with 19:02 to go, followed by an unassisted goal from junior attack Katherine Vincent with 16:49 to play. Junior attack Alli Dudley capped the run with a goal off a Vincent assist with 14:15 to go to cut the lead to 12-6.
- F&M led 15-7 with 3:24 to go before two goals by Docktor and a goal by Vincent in a span of 41 seconds cut the lead to 15-10 with 1:41 to play, but F&M would get a goal from Mergner with 35 seconds to go to cap the scoring at 16-10.  

For the Shorewomen (5-4, 0-1 Centennial)
- Scorers: Vincent (2 goals, 2 assists), Docktor (3 goals), Dudley (2 goals, 1 assist), Inserra (career high 2 goals), Kendall (1 goal), Parker (1 assist)
- Goalie: Maddie Mullen (7 saves, 14 goals allowed, 52:10), Megan Voss (1 save, 2 goals allowed, 7:50)
- Freshman midfielder Caitlin Donovan tied her career highs and led the team for the game with four ground balls and three caused turnovers
- The Shorewomen turned the ball over 21 times and were 16-for-20 on clear attempts
- Inserra wen 2-for-2 on her free position attempts, while the rest of the team went a combined 1-for-6

- Scorers: Saliba (5 goals), Mergner (3 goals), Gabby Frank (2 goals, 3 assists), Paige Moriarty (2 goals, 1 assist), Maddie Hughes (2 goals, 1 assist), Natalie Delinsky (1 goal), Peyton Annese (1 goal)
- Goalie: Danielle Harrington (5 saves, 10 goals allowed, 60:00)
- Sarah Bozzo had a game high four caused turnovers
- Mergner added a game high five draw controls and also caused a pair of turnovers to go along with her three goals
- The Diplomats outshot Washington 37-25, held an 18-12 advantage in ground balls, and won 17 draw controls, compared to 11 for Washington
- F&M went 17-for-18 on clearing attempts and converted on 4-of-10 free position opportunities
