Box Score Shorewomen Win Centennial Opener
CHESTERTOWN, Md. — The Washington College women's tennis team won its Centennial Conference opener and improved to 5-1 overall with a 9-0 win over visiting Muhlenberg this afternoon at Schottland Tennis Center.

Doubles
- Krista Filiopoulos and Sarah Bruno picked up the Shorewomen's first point with an 8-0 blanking of Shelby Knafo and Carina Nicolaisen at No. 2.
- Julie Lazer and Rachel Martinez followed with an 8-1 win over Hannah Molk and Meghan Olsen at No. 1.
- Riley Katzman and Ella Samer completed the doubles sweep with an 8-3 victory over Jessica Sommer and Geetika Bhatia at No. 3.
Singles
- Filiopoulos rolled to a 6-0, 6-0, win over Knafo at No. 3. Lazer clinched the match with her 6-1, 6-0, victory over Molk at No. 1.
- Samer added the Shorewomen's sixth point with her 6-0, 6-2, win against Nicolaisen at No. 4. Martinez then finished a 6-0, 6-3, win against Olsen at No. 2.
- Bruno added a 6-1, 6-4, win against Bhatia at No. 5 and Kiran Pant downed Jourdyn Buckheit, 6-3, 6-2.
Notes
- The Mules, who were also playing their conference opener, fell to 0-3 overall.
