CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Visiting Johns Hopkins University, ranked 20th in Division III and sixth in the Atlantic South region, topped host Washington College, the region's 19th-ranked team, in a Centennial Conference women's tennis match today by a 9-0 final.

Doubles
- Katie Gauch and Kimberly Zou posted an 8-2 victory over Krista Filiopoulos and Sarah Bruno at No. 2.
- Chrissy Simon and Sabrina Adams added an 8-3 win against Ella Samer and Riley Katzman at No. 3.
- The closest match was at No. 1 where Anjie Kashyap and Sophia Strickland topped Julie Lazer and Rachel Martinez, 8-6. Kashyap and Strickland are ranked sixth in the region in doubles.   

Singles
- Zou beat Filiopoulos, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 3 for a 4-0 Blue Jay lead. Strickland clinched the victory for Hopkins with her 7-6(2), 6-1, win against Strickland at No. 2. Gauch then beat Samer, 2-6, 6-1, 10-4, at No. 4 for the Blue Jays' sixth point.
- Kashyap, ranked seventh in the region in singles, pulled out a 6-2, 4-6, 10-7, win against Lazer, ranked 18th in the region, at No. 1.
- Simon finished a 6-3, 6-1, victory against Bruno at No. 5 and Adams defeated Kiran Pant, 8-4, at No. 6 to complete the shutout for the Blue Jays.

Notes
- The Blue Jays improved to 10-8 overall and 9-0 in conference matches with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to 11-5 and 6-3 with the loss.

- The match at F&M will be the regular-season finale for both teams. The Shorewomen and Diplomats will also play in the first round match of the Centennial Conference Tournament on Wednesday, May 2nd. The winner of Saturday's match will be the host team for the first-round tournament match.
