Box Score Acra Scores Four Goals
CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Visiting fourth ranked Gettysburg scored the last four goals of the game to pull away from host and 25th-ranked Washington College and post a 12-8 win in a Centennial Conference women's lacrosse game played today on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. The two teams will meet again next Saturday in the Centennial Conference Semifinals.

How It Happened
- Maggie McClain put Gettysburg on the board with 23:28 to go in the opening half, scoring on an assist from Katie Landry.
- Washington would go on a 3-0 run to grab a 3-1 lead with 15:47 to go in the opening half following back to back goals from Cecily Docktor.
- The Bullets would score back to back goals to tie the game at 3-3 as Steph Colson scored an unassisted goal with 9:50 to go in the opening half.
- Madison Acra gave the Shorewomen the lead at 4-3 with an unassisted goal with 2:02 to go in the opening half. Gettysburg would win the ensuing draw, but Madison Schutz forced a turnover with 27 seconds to go, and Kristy Grovom would score a free position goal with 2.4 seconds to go in the half to give the Shorewomen a 5-3 lead at the halftime break.
- The Bullets came out of the locker room and used a 3-0 run to take the lead at 6-5 when Liza Barr scored off of a Colson assist with 21:15 to go.
- Acra tied the game at 6-6 with an unassisted goal with 18:37 to go. Colson would convert a free position shot just 45 seconds later to give Gettysburg the lead back at 7-6. Lauren Brenner would tie the game again for Washington at 7-7, scoring an unassisted goal with 16:48 to go.
- Colson would convert another free position shot just 13 seconds later to put the Bullets back ahead 8-7, but Acra would tie the game for the Shorewomen at 8-8 with 14:48 to go by scoring an unassisted goal.
- Gettysburg would finish the game on a 4-0 run from there. Kerry McKeever scored a free position goal to give the Bullets the lead for good with 12:44 to go. McClain pushed the lead to 10-8, scoring off an assist from Barr with 11:23 to play. Colson scored an unassisted goal with 6:55 to go, and Courtney Patterson capped the scoring by finishing a free position shot with 55 seconds to play to set the score at 12-8 and provide the final margin.
For the #25 Shorewomen (13-4 Overall, 7-2 Centennial Conference)
- Scorers: Acra (4 goals), Docktor (2 goals), Grovom (1 goal, 2 assists), Brenner (1 goal), Alison Pantazes (1 assist).
- Goalie: Isabella Richardson (4 saves, 8 goals allowed, 45:12), Victoria Shanerman (2 saves, 4 goals allowed, 14:48).
- Schutz led the Shorewomen defensively with team bests of five ground balls, five draw controls, and three caused turnovers.
- The Shorewomen held a slight 16-15 edge in ground balls and were 14-for-15 on clearing attempts.
- Washington turned the ball over just eight times.
For #4 Gettysburg (14-2 Overall, 8-1 Centennial Conference)
- Scorers: Colson (4 goals, 1 assist), McKeever (2 goals, 1 assist), McClain (2 goals), Landry (1 goal, 2 assists), Barr (1 goal, 1 assist), Katie Willis (1 goal), Patterson (1 goal).

- Colson added a game best eight draw controls and tied Schutz for game high honors in ground balls with five.
- The Bullets enjoyed a 14-9 advantage in draw controls and turned the ball over 14 times, but only twice in the second half.

- Acra was named the Goose Nation TV Shorewomen Player Of The Game on the webcast of the game for the first time in her career.
- A brief ceremony was held before the start of the game to honor the team's four seniors: Acra, Morgen Moran, Rachael Shaw, and Autumn Spence.

- The game time will be made official on Monday following the conference call among the five participating teams. Washington and Gettysburg will be joined in the tournament by the hosts Franklin & Marshall, along with Haverford and Dickinson, who will play in the first round game on Wednesday.
