HAVERFORD, Pa. — In a match between two regionally-ranked teams, the host Haverford College women's tennis team defeated visiting Washington College, 7-2, in a Centennial Conference match inside Alumni Field House today.  Washington senior Julie Lazer (Owings, Md./McDonogh School) won in both singles and doubles to reach 100 combined collegiate victories.

Doubles
- Lazer and Rachel Martinez were 8-5 winners over Emily Shutman and Jane Bary at No. 1 for Lazer's 99th career win and Martinez's 94th. Shutmand and Bary came into the match ranked 13th in doubles in the Atlantic South region.
- The Fords won at the other two doubles spots. Greta Koch and Julia Gan were 8-5 winners over Krista Filiopoulos and Sarah Bruno at No. 2, while Clara Farrachi and Sam Berg defeated Riley Katzman and Ella Samer, 8-6, at No. 3.

Singles
- Lazer's 100th win came courtesy of a 7-5, 6-2, victory against Gan at No. 1 for the Shorewomen's singles win.
- Bary beat Martinez, 6-0, 6-3, at No. 2, while Koch topped Filiopoulos, 6-1, 6-7(2), 6-3, at No. 3
- Shutman won at No. 4, 6-2, 6-0, against Samer. Farrachi bested Bruno, 6-3, 2-6, 10-6, at No. 5, while Berg beat Kiran Pant, 6-3, 5-7, 10-7, at No. 6.

Notes
- The Fords, ranked 13th in the Atlantic South region, improved to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play with the win, while the Shorewomen, ranked 20th, fell to 8-3 and 3-1.
- Lazer now has a career singles record of 48-15 (including 11-0 at No. 1 this spring) and a career doubles mark of 52-18.
