F&M Tops Shorewomen, 7-2

LANCASTER, Pa. — Host Franklin & Marshall won five singles spots and two doubles spots in a 7-2 win over visiting Washington College in a Centennial Conference women's tennis match this afternoon.

Doubles
- F&M won at No. 1 and No. 3, both by 8-4 scores. Gavriel Rubenstein and Allison Wolter topped Alisha White and Ella Samer at No. 1, while Marissa Witmer and Caroline Ulrich defeated Sarah Bruno and Maiah Thomas  at No. 3.
- Cecilia Cress and Riley Katzman were 8-1 winners at No. 2 for the Shorewomen, defeating Emma Wu and Alex D'Angelo.

Singles
- Wolters beat White, 6-0, 3-0 (retired) at No. 1.
- Samer had the Shorewomen's lone singles win at No. 2, beating Rubenstein, 6-2, 6-4.
- Wu topped Cress, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 3, while D'Angelo beat Katzman 3-6, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 4.
- Witmer bested Thomas, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 5, while Ella Mure topped Hayley Sanchez, 6-3, 6-3, at No. 6.

Notes
- The Diplomats improved to 6-5 overall and 4-2 in conference matches with the win, while the Shorewomen dropped to 5-6 and 3-3 with the loss.
